Welcome to the Freedom Foundation where freedom is alive again and changing lives back to the living. I was dead to the world ,convicted of murder in 1981. I served 27.5 years as an innocent man. I was freed by DNA testing in November of 2008 with the relentless help of the Florida Innocence Project and my Public Defender Mike Pirolo. Although, I was the happiest and most grateful man for my new found freedom, my life took on a whole new look when I realized that the Innocence Project's funding was primarily utilized to free the wrongfully convicted and there was no support network in place for Exonerees to help with daily needs such as food, housing, transportation and clothing. Therefore, to help fill this huge void, I put together the W.D.F.F to help Exonerees in their transition back to normal life.

My wish is to make a difference for these individuals and help make freedom a beautiful dream not a nightmare of loneliness and neglect.

We will help exonerees in transition back to normal life who have not had the benefit of compensation

We will support any and all legislation that:

Fights corruption

Supports the rights of defendants to utilize DNA testing

Reforms compensation laws to support all exonorees regardless of prior infractions

Supports prison reform

We will support exonerees in fighting for expungement of records.

We will provide financial relief and access to our support network for qualified exonorees who are in crisis.

We will provide these functions to the best of our capabilities to assist; and according to our abilities to provide.

We will raise funds through the generosity of our donors and from sales of merchandise from our on- line Freedom Store
